I say this as an ex employee of Royal Caribbean....
Cruises are like traveling Vegas casinos. If you would go crazy hanging out at one resort, dont go.
They are good for visiting places like the Mediterranean (if you want to cover ground) and Alaska (eco tourism). I would do a Galapagos cruise too.
Caribbean? Meh. I would rather go to an upscale adults only (no screaming kids!) all inclusive where I can relax, drink, eat, and maybe gamble. Seeing port towns in the Caribbean is more depressing than fun.
The pool on a cruise is the worst part of the experience, IMO. And I love frying in the sun. Its crowded. The pools are tiny. You have to save a set of seats at 7am. On and on.
I want one to put in my pond.
I’ve heard that river cruises in Europe are a great.
