Yes, Stonewall taught blacks to read and write, although that was illegal. (Apparently the authorities looked the other way because they trusted that Jackson was teaching religion and not rebellion.)

During the war, he had a black valet. It's believed that that gentleman was not actually Jackson's slave, but was lent to him for the duration by his owner, but historians aren't sure. The valet may have been a free man. What is sure is that Jackson's valet absolutely revered Stonewall long after Jackson's death.

If only our children were taught the true character of our forebears, this could once again be a righteous and peaceful nation. Unfortunately, the marxist internationalists run the world, and they are indoctrinating our children through full spectrum propaganda dominance.
