One of our neoghbors also received 2.
We live in The People's Republic of California. (Bet that doesn't surprise you.)
Last election's shenanigans: after 20+ years of voting at the same place, they closed it. And when we went to the new place, we found out none of us were on the voting list
We had to vote using provisional ballots. None of us had ever been removed from the list, in all our collective years of voting.
And it was weird, because it happened to everyone in my house.
We are registered with two different political parties, but, what we had in common, was that we all voted for President Trump in the 2016 election.
That doesn’t surprise me (California) but doesn’t sound good re: your having to vote by provisional ballot last time.
And 2 ballots this time.
How many thousands are just like you but who WILL VOTE twice if they possibly can get away with it.
