We do not have substantive disagreements on the nature of Covid-19. I have posted the same excess death chart from the CDC that you replied to me with on multiple occasions in the last couple of months. I even started threads with it and other charts from the CDC.
I no longer have a great deal of patience on this subject with arrogant snots who are newbies who immediately started insulting long time posters almost as soon as they joined. We have been discussing this subject in great depth since the first part of the year before you joined in the fun.
My wife and I live in Eastern King County which was the first hotspot in the country thanks to half a million recent arrivals from China who are now our neighbors. Many of them visited home for Chinese New Year and then returned. The early "travel ban" had almost no effect when it came to keeping infected people, their associates and families from entering our area from China. Direct flights to SeaTac from Wuhan and other hotspots in China were diverted to Vancouver BC. The infected had to take an additional 3 hour bus ride... that was how much trouble the "travel ban" caused travelers from China into our area. Over 10,000 people took this route to Eastern King and Snohomish Counties in the first week of February alone. Bureaucrats in their infinite wisdom did all that they could to defy the intent of President Trump's orders in every possible way.
My wife is a professional nurse and department head in long term care facilities; I am a retired fire officer who was the senior supervisor of a "big city" Hazmat Team on my shift for years. Biological and Chemical agents were one of my chief areas of concern. Both my wife and I and volunteered and were paid for work we did at the Life Care Center in Kirkland Washington after our official retirements. You might have already known some of this if you had not just joined this forum in May On May 7, the first day that you joined you made 8 comments and you have been very active since. I do not have an issue with your point of view, but a high percentage of your comments are snarky.
Maybe you haven't noticed, but around here you typically get back something similar in tone to what you dish out. You are a newbie but have managed to insult many of my favorite people here on multiple occasions. So despite already writing many reasoned and informed comments which have sometimes paralleled my own point of view almost exactly... I consider you to have a lot of potential but you have not yet become an asset to the community. That is as close as you are going to get to a compliment from me this morning.
