As stated in the immediately prior thread I posted, my wife and I take 300 mg a day of Niagen, the major manufacturer of nicotinamide riboside.

It offers many benefits for aging skin since it is also a skin-restoring ingredient. It has the ability to enhance the appearance of fine lines, uneven skin tone, enlarged pores, weakened skin surface, and dullness, among others.

In the 90 capsule form under an Amazon subscription, you can drive the cost down to under $1.20 a day, I believe. We get the 15% discount when we have five subscriptions fill in that month (so we everything all at once for awhile).

Looking at this article and others... this supplement is a little pricey and promises just about everything with few if any side effects:
Easily Converted Into NAD+
Activates Enzymes That May Promote Healthy Aging
May Help Protect Brain Cells
May Lower Heart Disease Risk
May aid weight loss
May lower cancer risk
May help treat jet lag
May promote healthy muscle aging

My problem with this is that I am skeptical of unproven supplements that promise so much and are a bit on the pricey side. There are so many other supplements that make the same types of claims. That is why the dietary supplement “industry” has grown to a $40 Billion dollar a year snake oil type enterprise. Everyone wants to believe that they can take a magic pill that will make them healthier and live longer. 99% of the time they do less than the health benefits from an inexpensive but reputable multivitamin.

No, give it to your cats—provided they have “organs.”

The 90 capsule single bottle should be cheaper per pill than multiple 30 counts.
