I have to add that a couple of those “jolts” were not at work, but at home thinking that I was smart enough to skip a few steps (like killing the power). Life’s little lessons.

My relatives all remove and replace plugs, fixtures and such without turning the power off. I think they’re nuts but they don’t ask me.
