“Boats sinking, plugs removed”

You’d think if the boats were flooded by waves, the mayday calls would say as much and this wouldn’t be a mystery.
Maybe someone replaced the boat plugs with ones that dissolve after some time on the water. I saw that on a TV crime show a few years back.
“According to the sheriff’s department, the wake in the water was caused by “many, many” boats on the water. It’s unclear at this time how many total boats were part of the parade or how many sank.”
I saw a video - there were thousands upon thousands of boats. Now, I have to wonder whether the enemy might have brought their own boats and intentionally driven at high speed around the parade to create large wakes, which can be deadly when boats are close together such as in a marina, or a parade.
I have read comments from antifags wanting to capture the registration numbers from the boats to try to doxx the owners, so I have a sense they have a desire to strike back at these boat parades.
