On the thread, "misfire of an Igla MANPADS"...

What was called a "misfire" was actually a fired missile -- that launched the entire launcher (ripped it from the operator's hands) -- because he forgot to remove the front shipping cap from the launch tube! (Photo included -- with others offered...)

(Note the "Q-reveal" in my signature when acknowledged.) '-)

Hope a wider conversation + opportunity to display "Q-competence" develops...
