Any doctor who said that was wrong, as multiple studies show that masks inhibit transmission of this coronavirus and mitigate its effects. No, wearing a mask is not pleasant—but, it’s effective.

If you were writing public advice, what would you say? That, as long as whomever you’re with had a mask on, you’re fine? Or, would you say, if you’re around someone who’s infected, you are at risk?
