BREAKING: A federal appeals court just ruled that the NSA’s bulk collection of Americans’ phone records was illegal.

This ruling, which confirms what we have always known, is a victory for our privacy rights.

#937 so any info from searching those records would be fruit of the poisoned tree.

And those that were publicly smeared by it can sue the NSA for capturing it, those that accessed it then leaked it and those that publicized it.

And they do, this is about mass collection of USCs, a different deal. The vast majority of collection is never analyzed so there is no harm to privacy.
