Marx in his diatribe first claimed “the secular basis of Judaism” was “practical need; self-interest”, then the next thing he said that “the worldly religion of the Jew” was “huckstering” and that “his worldly god” was “money”. So he was attacking Jews whether ethnic or religious, based on the identity alone.
Nobody excuses Marxists whose ethnic background is that of the tribe of Judah. They are throwing away their heritage on the false altar of godless so-called internationalism, just as any other human being that embraces this ideology does (and that includes millions if not billions of nominal Christians).
