Perhaps only about 23% of the people in the United States have had their income destroyed during the pandemic. If you count all the people who are government employees who kept getting paid, People in essential businesses, people working from home on their computers, people in retirement, people getting government checks for welfare, etc You cover a lot of the population.

The vast majority of people whose incomes have been destroyed are people working in the private sector, especially in small Businesses. Dems do not seem to care about them at all.
