So sorry, words formatting didn’t carry over. And I hit send too soon. I was watching myself press the send button going no no wait....
There is the draft again:
Im writing in response to the numerous stories about the young man who had his young children in the car and rioters were blocking him from moving. Im not going to mention his name because youve managed to do that numerous times, splashing it and his address on the front page.
Protesters staying in the crosswalk and not moving when drivers honk, or inch forward are no longer peaceful protestors. Why does the Johnson City police allow these people to disrupt the lives of the people paying taxes? This is not intended for the policeman on duty, Im sure they would do their jobs if they were allowed - its for whatever liberal entity is tying their hands.
Your story said that a witness stated that the driver of this car was inching forward. What else do you expect people to do? Someone who doesnt move when blocking a car that is inching forward slowly is not doing anything peaceably or lawfully. If you let these thugs disrupt peoples’ lives and insist on calling it a peaceful protest, youre going to get what happens next in other liberal cities looting followed by burning followed by murders. We didnt move from a blue state to be subjected to the same foolishness here. And if you dont stop it now, youre going to have a lot more problems on your hands after the election. I guess if the police cant do their job protecting the people of the city, well have to call in some more 17 year old boys with the courage and convictions grown men should have.
And why publish his name and address? You know the thugs are going to be targeting him and his family now, with the lawlessness that is allowed to happen. Why dont you arrest the people that are stopping Johnson City citizens from going about their daily lives, and publish their addresses? I bet half of them will be from out of the state, crossing state lines to riot. That is a felony of the federal Anti-Riot Act and Conspiracy to Cross State Lines to commit acts of riot, and other planned criminal actions.
Great letter to editor. I think you made your point well. Everyones style for writing is different. So stylistic changes might be suggested by others. Im not a grammar cop so don’t even notice when people make oppsies here on the TT
Word used to have a tool section that you could do a lot of modifications and also word count.
I have it on my computer & will see if I can find out. I haven’t used that feature for a LONG time.
Morning plans changed as I managed to do laundry with the utility tub plugged(I had soaked the items in bleach water first and the plus moved & soak water drained... I neglected to take plug out & it resealed. Had a large load with pre-soak and extra rinse (but of course) all over the kitchen and utility room. Hour and a half clean up Ill never get back
Jenny gets home today at three. I still have to sort my meds/vitamins (it takes me awhile to do that. I take a lot of supplements.) Cut up a pineapple and do 4 areas of spot cleaning on the carpet where a naughty female kitty(not mine) has numerous indiscretions.
