My view of the world started changing at least 10 years ago, but since Q it has been faster and more drastic. 20-years-ago-me would have laughed in the face of today-me.@@@@@@@@@@@@

My view of the world started changing after the GOPe REFUSED/BLOCKED the Reagan nomination in Lieu of “The Incumbent” Gerald Ford......
The transition was complete when we elected RR and I witnessed Dan Rather/Walter Cronkite (supposed conservative reporters) crying about “the end of America” with Reagan’s victory!

Haven’t watched any Lamestream Media fake news/propaganda since. Without God and FreeRepublic who knows what might have been the depths of my frustration, anger, despair, in seeing the nation I love and the Constitution that I’ve sworn to uphold and defend ripped to shreds! God bless POTUS and all who support him as I believe God is leading this nation through him!

My world view changed in the mid-90s when I decided to really apply myself and went back to college. I took a class at Cleveland State University, a required class from the “group IV” set of classes called “The History of Cleveland/Black Studies”. It was in this class that we were told that the city of Cleveland, under mayor Kucinich, went into bankruptcy because of the big banks, not because the city defaulted on its loans. And all landlords were bad, tenants were good. Blah, blah, blah, whitey was the bad guy even then.

I then realized that our higher education system had at least partially been hijacked by some anti-American commies. I found FR a couple of years later, read Atlas Shrugged, 1984, Unintended Consequences, The Bell Curve, and a number of books by Ann Coulter (when she was pretending to be conservative), Levin, Rush, and even Glen Beck.

FR was the anchor for me, and it still is one of my stabilizing forums (that may seem scary to many...).

I think the big hit was when the country elected Obama. I knew he was bad news, the markets knew he was bad news, everyone I knew, knew he was bad news. And yet, he was elected (having McCain as his opponent wasn’t exactly a winning strategy either). I was so shaken by his election that I dug into my IRA and paid off the house. Drastic move, I know, but I figured that they would be going after money and anything I couldn’t protect with firepower would be subject to theft by the commies in charge.

That was the turning point for this country. He did more damage to the US than most people can even understand. And if we don’t re-elect Trump, the country is done. Period.

Sorry about the slide - just thinking aloud and typing as I go.
