To: Its All Over Except ...

In Washington State the law states that “self defense” includes protecting yourself, your property, or anyone else or property from harm.

However, prosecutors of late have made it difficult for those protecting property. And it has always been based on “reasonable force” to stop the threat.

Years ago a neighbor saw some guy stealing a TV from a neighbor’s home that he knew was out of town. The neighbor shot the guy in the butt with a broadhead arrow. Called the police and the thief was arrested. The DA made a point of saying that it was a legal “shoot”. But if he had killed the thief it would not have been legal. Sounds goofy to me - but I wouldn’t want to test it over a TV.

Oh - just to be clear - not a neighbor of mine. I read about it in the papers. It has probably been 15 years now where their was a rash of people shooting robbers. One of the sheriffs said something like “I wonder when these thieves will realize it is open season on them?”

But - that was many years ago.

Im wondering what they are going to do if say 5,000 militia or a coalitiom of 20,000 show up say in 4 or 5 cities.

Popcorn and Coca Cola time.
