This will kill the infection rate by eliminating all the false positives on people who have no symptoms. In our county the actual infection rate is at most half of what the reported rate is because of the false positives and the number of people counted multiple times because they are reported as a new case each time they get tested.
One of our crazy neighbors has been convinced he has had Covid for months and has had dozens of tests along with "quaranteening" himself and his girlfriend for weeks at a time. They even managed to get themselves tested multiple times in April when typically only celebrities, politicians and healthcare workers could get tested. Maybe they have been helping to keep the positive test rate ratio down, although you would think that one of them would have at least gotten a false positive by now. In our state every time a person tests positive, they count it as a "new case" even if they have been tested multiple times previously. But alas the accounting methods being used strangely only seem to make things look worse, so they probably do filter out crackpots like my crazy neighbor. The rate of deaths from all causes has been dropping since the middle of April. We are told repeatedly that deaths from all causes are up 10% this year, yet Covid related deaths even with authorities repeatedly caught calling gun shot victims, motorcycle accidents, etc. etc. make up less than 10% of the total. At least half of the increase is from a large increase in the suicide rate, and people not seeking treatment for the real killers, heart disease, cancer, lung disease, stroke, etc. because they are afraid to go to the doctor or hospital from all the media hype. This is not to mention that elective surgeries to treat these statistically more serious killers were unavailable this year in many places.

I never understood why healthy people would get the test in the first place.
PLease note in the first link that I provided that the number of Covid deaths in June, July and August were reportedly back in the thousands supposedly showing a “second wave”. However, deaths from all causes continued to decrease through this same time period. Does this make any sense? Only if they are calling deaths from other causes... Covid deaths. Which is exactly what the authorities have become more adept at doing throughout this “crisis” most likely because there are financial incentives to do so.
