No there is not anything more. He did not hold privileges to commit surgery. Eventhough it is truly the simplest part of the surgery, a skin cut doesnt get near anything important, it literally just opens the skin, it demonstrates extremely POOR judgment. He should have stated this is not appropriate and said no. I question the judgment of the surgeon. That God someone called the ethics line and made the report. He did practice without a license. No-no.

Don't disagree with most of what you've said. Yup, poor judgement. Absolutely should be censured, formally. But relieving a good CEO for cutting through skin under the supervision of an attending surgeon is like whacking a horsefly with a sledge hammer. More harm than good. Circumstances are such that my skin has been cut through, patched up, and had stitches pulled, etc, by non-medical-doctors too. I've assisted and done so myself. It's really not that big a deal. But, hey, I was a farm kid and I guess we just dealt with these things that others find very scary.
