Having watched the entire first night of the Republican National Convention, I am happy to report that I was not bored, embarrassed, frustrated, or irritated. It was a superb production, featuring a wide variety of ordinary Americans, along with Republican politicians, giving polished, engaging, and uplifting presentations. Also and this completely delighted me the Trump campaign made a bold and long-past-due play for the minorities voters that the Democrats have used and abused for so long.
One of the best things about the evening was its grandeur. The Democrats convention played out on an exceedingly small canvas, with almost all the speakers crammed in front of their computer monitors.
The DNC didnt get any brighter for the main events. When Harris gave her acceptance speech, she stood before what looked like a grim underground tunnel with poles holding signs for the various states, a sparse six flags, and nothing else. Biden, for his acceptance speech, stood in front of an even sparser background of faded blue-on-blue stars, plus those six lonely flags.

refute the left’s usual, tired charge of racism.
Would love to see more of Hershel. I can see why they have been good friends for so long.Everyone would love to be in that friend circle.
Herschel Walker’s speech needs to be seen by everyone, some need to watch it over and over and over...
This is going to be a great week for the stock market.
Herschel Walker lamented that people think he could have a friend some 37 years who was a racist.
Tim Lewis also great speech.
And please don’t forget my lady from my home town....Baltimore.
Oh how I loved Baltimore. Steamed crabs, inner harbor, Johns Hopkins, perfect locale near DC but far enough away. Stock yards, Baltimore zoo, the monumental city.
It was an all-American city and don’t forget I used to hang around with Nancy D’Alesandro, now know as Nancy Pelosi.
Baltimore’s a ghetto now.
Just to give you an idea of how the MSM propagandizes it in Boston (the major media market for swing state New Hampshire), here are the Boston Globe’s headlines on the night:
Doesn’t he seem like a wonderful man!
Tell us what Nanzi was like back then?
***Jennifer Rubin, a NeverTrumper whose views align perfectly with the Biden platform, gave voice to how the left views Americas normal people.***
[Rubins tweet read:]
other than Tim Scott and Nikki Haley the lineup tonight is a bunch of nobodies - and a Trump relative. I think of Dorothy Parker’s witticism - it runs the gamut from A to B
A bunch of nobodies- yes, Ms. Rubin, thats exactly who they were in your eyes, and exactly who I am, too.
Im not a nobody to Donald Trump.
Im glad she finally figured it out.
We have loved Herschel Walker since his Cowboy days.
ALWAYS a gentleman, always a pleasure to watch his work.
Back when we used to watch football.
Those were the days.
“””the lineup tonight is a bunch of nobodies - “””
That really sucks. Now I am an uneducated deplorable nobody??
My father was the president of the Baltimore Carpenters union local 101. Nancy’s father, Mayor D’Alesandro, thus used these union guys to remodel his house in Baltimore’s Little Italy.
Now I exaggerate a bit in that Pelosi was my good friend. She’s a good ten years or more older than me.
My father sometimes would take me and my younger brother to the D’Alesandro house to help. I was about ten years old, brother eight. Children of carpenters maybe can’t put up joists but we can fetch tools and sweep sawdust.
Nancy would come in after school, wearing a perfectly pleated Catholic school skirt that I always admired. She’d go ask her mother for something. If her mother told her no she’s go sweet talk her father. And usually she got her way.
She rarely talked to us. We were, after all, just the children of the help. But sometimes the ice cream truck would go down Little Italy streets and Mayor D’Alesandro would reach into his pockets and give me and my brother some quarters so we could go catch the ice cream truck and get some ice cream.
Nancy would often join us out at the curb so she could too buy ice cream.
So she does, insert wink here, really love ice cream.
That’s about it. Nancy’s brother also became mayor of Baltimore. He died, btw, at age 94 back during the impeachment hearings. Few people even heard anything about it.
Nancy was also named Miss Jiffy Lube of Baltimore or some such when she was about 20.
Next....my meeting with Beau Biden and interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Oprah began her career in Baltimore ya know.
Yes, we are uneducated deplorable nobodies.
I bet over the course of time, Ms. Rubin will wish she had never posted that.
She looks EXACTLY like her father.
A very candid admission of how the Left views everyday Americans telling their stories. People are nothing but interchangeable cogs, there for the whole purpose of serving the machine of The State. A bunch of nobodies.
Thank you. That was interesting (no not being sarcastic)
Everyone of them knocked it out of the ballpark!
Cant wait for tonight!
I watched part of it on CNN. I have never seen such long, sour, angry faces. There was Wolf Blitzer, Jake Tapeworm, Dana Bash and a black woman whose name I don’t know. They all looked really uncomfortable, and unhappy that they had to sit there and listen to the speeches, and were also unhappy that CNN was broadcasting them at all.
