Pronounced in Polish “guvno”, like the “u” in push. W is almost always pronounced “v”.

Pronounced in Polish “guvno”, like the “u” in push. W is almost always pronounced “v”.

Same in german - had a friend in Switzerland, Edith (pronounced Aydit) who called vodka, "wodka" because it was spelled with a W but pronounced as a v in german but not in English.
