It is sung by Calaf, il principe ignoto (the unknown prince), who falls in love at first sight with the beautiful but cold Princess Turandot. Any man who wishes to wed Turandot must first answer her three riddles; if he fails, he will be beheaded. In the aria, Calaf expresses his triumphant assurance that he will win the princess. -SB

I love all forms of music, but just for an instant, a thrill ran up my leg thinking: "if this opening is from Godfather III- then God be with them, for they have met their salvation..."

There are no coincidences - these four nights; each speaker addressing a different complex group of the electorate with truth.

And on the operatic finish - I lean towards tradecraft, and seeing how tiff was moved as well, recognize a multi-dimensional message.
