My son and I were amazed at Disney's production of 'A Christmas Carol' with Jim Carey, have joked often about how many people must have lost their jobs due to a faithful rendering of Dickens' original text and Christian mentions.
Which is to say that I suppose they could do that. I think it was their remake of 'The Alamo' that started their real erosion at the box office. I have encouraged conservatives to not take their children to the theme parks but it is an uphill battle, I understand.
Disney - if it ever supported traditional values - has long since sailed from that port. Their TV network operations are a moral and ethical abomination. We like the older reruns of 'The Simpsons' on the Freeform cable channel {for kids} but the ads are shocking for children... even cartoons of adults copulating. 😖 As far as ABC TV and News {I worked for them back in the caveman days} and ESPN - Phoooey! Disney is committed to alienating the children from their parents and indoctrinating them into New Age crap.
Other than that, isn't Disney great?!
***I'm not sure upper management is going to be thrilled with the ESPN talking heads encouraging sports franchises to kill their seasons***
The TV nets must be losing a fortune on sports coverage, esp. ESPN; good riddance! I will only miss the SEC cable channel. :)
I’m glad Disney has finally seen the light to some extent. I’d like to subscribe to Disney+ for the Star Wars content now that George Lucas is back in charge. Kathleen Kennedy is, for all intents and purposes, fired.
