I had been wondering why, in spite of the statistics, a lefty I know has firmly declared that Covid-19 is the most virulent dangerous epidemic in the history of...well...ever (he was a little distressed when talking).
I came across a meme ridiculing the public for thinking the Covid-19 death rate is as low as it is and the offer to "correct the math".
They don't use the statistic for the likelihood a person would die if they contracted the virus. This number is usually given as .04 (lately) and as I keep being reassured that the number of people who get the virus is actually much larger (untested, asymptomatic), the percentage is actually much smaller. Many people are never tested.
Those claiming tragic death rates use the statistic that identifies the likelihood a person would die if they become sick with the virus. Even that higher number (over 5%) is likely much smaller because many people had the virus without knowing it. Unless you were tested when you had it, you're not in that statistic.
Also, if HCQ had been allowed for use by FDA and GOVERNORS, that number would be TINY no matter which statistic used.
A large proportion of deaths appear to be intentional - why else would 5 Dem governors force those diagnosed with Covid-19 into nursing facilities while at the same time stating the elderly are vulnerable to the illness. When Senator Steve Scalise tweetd that he sent letters to 5 Dem Governors regarding their pracitice of forcing Covid-19 patients into nursing homes, those facilities accounted for 40% of Covid-19 deaths.
Oh and there's fake death rates. Two immunologists from Kern County provided an interview in which they noted that a patient may have heart disease, COPD and be dying, and then diagnosed with Covid-19, the death certificate lists them as a Covid-19 mortality.
There's also the practice of counting any death within 60 days of a positive coronavirus test as a Covid death.
Here's lthe meme that defends the practice of over estimating the death rate. I'm thinking this is the number the MSM is clinging to - if they are even pretending they are basing their daily panic report on any actual number.

So the left inflates the death rate, denies the public treatment for Covid, and then goes on and on about President Trump "murdering people" because he doesn't care, while they fake the Plannedemic to destroy our country and conduct a coup to regain power.

Our annual population growth is around 1.5 million. This year, our population growth may top out at 1.3 million. And 70% of the deaths are above age 70. The one I know about seems, based on his history of serious heart issues and symptoms, to have been a massive heart attack while asymptomatic for COVID. He was told 10 years ago he’d be lucky to live 5 more years....
If we had kept it out of the nursing homes, we’d have around 100,000 dead. That is still a big number, but in terms of our future even 200,000 dead is trivial.
And in state after state, once the big hit is over, cases and deaths go way down - just like happens with every virus! It justifies looking for a vaccine. It justifies strict controls on nursing homes. It does not justify - and never did - shutting down the economy that makes health care possible!
I would hazard a guess that she's referring to "case fatality rate", but I'm not a graduate of liberal brainwashing. But if you look at her social media page, she's a BLM supporter and admitted antifa, so par for the course...

Probably at least 80% of the cases in California since they started requiring a mask to go outside in mid-June. And the mask mandate didn’t even cause a hiccup in their case count!
I’m going to pick apart Denise’s numbers a little here.
#1 - 5.6 million Covid cases - based on faulty testing, so probably very high. Or low, since people without symptoms tend to NOT get tested.
#2 - 175,000 deaths because of Covid - how do they measure a death “by” covid? If it’s not “but for the Covid, they’d be alive”, then it’s not caused by Covid. And as RN mentioned, they were listing a death as Covid-related if someone even tested positive in the 60 days prior. Give a hospital $35,000 per Covid death and they’ll be counting dead bugs as covid related.
So the number of Covid deaths is probably double the actual number right off the bat. Now, throw in how many were murdered when a handful of democrat governors purposefully placed infected people into nursing homes to push the death toll up and you really have no way of knowing.
#3 - As for the estimated count of people infected by influenza, that’s an estimate by the CDC, an entity that is chock full of democrat bureaucrats that would love nothing better than to take down Trump. So, they’ll estimate high. I don’t know of anybody that has been tested for the flu in the last few years. I haven’t been.
Garbage in, garbage out. The entire Covid plandemic is a fraud.
Oh, and Denise L Perez can stick her mask up her backside. After that, she can wear it if she wants and it will smell just like her opinions.

CDC tested 700 influenza patients who were hospitalized with pneumonia, presumed to be from the flu. Only 18 tested positive for influenza.
Medicine is hardly a science at all. They are not what we think they are. Modern medicine is great at fixing mechanics of humans, but not very good at curing disease. Most diseases have been minimized or eliminated by the garbage man, and modern plumbing, not doctors.

I’ve taken long vacays from FR but like a moth to a flame... came back when Trump was the candidate.
Yes; they’ll have their little panic joy because today will top 1,000 deaths; because every Tuesday is over-reported due to weekend lag times (and every Monday is underreported....Mondays are probably 0.67 of a reporting day and Tuesdays are probably 1.33 of a reporting day...just a WAG on my part; but the pattern seems to hold.
Wednesday’s number will be 600-700 on 38,000 positives more or less; or 1.7% positivity rate, as it has been for the past three weeks or so. We did have a 4 week spike in July as the three of the most populous states in the country all spiked at the same time, CA, TX and FL.
We had multiple days with over 60,000 positives, and one day I recall that just nipped 70,000 cases; never the daily 100,000 cases that Fauci was squawking about 6 weeks ago.
I use Worldometer; the figures for which are actually higher than Johns Hopkins, so that I intentionally look at the worst case scenario for widely published figures; so no one can accuse me of sandbagging the numbers.
By September 1 or so, the case fatality rate will drop below 3.00%; it is currently at 3.06% ON Worldometer.
