Woman I know with a coffee shop/ breakfast place has sign
up explaining she will round price off to
nearest dollar, up or down.
At a Dunkin Donuts I was charged 8 dollars
even for a small frozen coffee and a sausage egg and cheese.Either they formulated the price so that with tax it ends up on nearest dollar or maybe it
was $7.70 or something and they just
said “eight dollars”.
..and places like McDonald’s have signs
up asking to pay by card or exact change
due to coin shortage.A Sheetz in PA
had the same story, “there’s a coin
shortage...”
..and the coffee shop is cash only,
ATM available ($2 fee) if needed
