Sounds good - I mean smells good! I have major lemon balm but it’s in bad soil and so very stunted. I have bad dirt, fir forest red clay with 30% stones. Have to make soil. I like damascus roses - old fashioned kinds are often not so showy but ultra fragrant.

Hey there, to add to the fragrance garden talk, I was visiting my folk's gardens this week and their larger bloom hostas were so sweetly fragranced. You didn't even need to be that close to the plant to notice. So I took home a shovel full of the very fragrant hosta with the big flowers. Has big medium green heart shaped leaves. So if you have shade in some places, maybe add some hostas. Good thing about hostas, you can usually find a friend who needs to divide their hostas and will give some to you. 😁🌱

More plant slide:

GMTA I love those old roses. You’re right, the flowers aren’t usually great but that fragrance is fabulous. And they bloom forever.

I’ve got stunted lemon balm too. Hoping that when I move it to my new bed it improves. We live on a limestone hill so I’m constantly trying to build soil and what we have is alkaline. Hubby bought 2 trailer loads of good soil for this new bed plus 2 keyhole gardens. I compost everything so have that to add. The future fragrance garden has produced a ton of veggies this year so I’m liking this soil.
