Well the real point has nothing to do with the official government, but rather the ‘shadow government’ that has been created to do the real dirty work, out beyond some trees so to speak. The real gov’t write a contract to some private company for “waste management services” for instance. That company happens to be a Canadian government contractor who has a reputation for doing shady stuff, spy-like stuff, similar to say Crowdstrike or Fusion GPS. All that Congress sees, if they were to look at this minutia, would be a $30 m million contract line item in a bazillion dollar budget. In other words, they’ll never look and could never know what it was if they did. No one has time to go over the entire budget with a fine toothed comb.
But this company? They’re picking up the trash alright, from the Dep’t of Justice headquarters building. Think everything sensitive or secret really gets shredded? Or if someone on the inside wanted to get classified information out, what better way than to just drop a flash drive in the trash, knowing someone would be looking for it in that day’s pickup.
That kind of thing.
And while I admire and appreciate your attitude that “Trump has this”, there’s no way on earth he could possibly know all this stuff that’s going on. The swamp is wide and deep and far worse than he ever suspected by his own admission. In addition to having a day job, he’s been a little busy the past couple of years too.
