It’s been the exact opposite for Dems. Instead of being “dangerous”’, it’s been a friggin’ gold mine of political power in certain parts of the country. Hell, if the idiots could put together a ticket that didn’t’ have a semi-senile, child-fondler at the top of the ticket, they’d have a good chance of winning the White House.
