No the bit above about Baron Rothchild not being admitted to a club in NYC. His language was considered lewd a he liked naked photos. There was also commentary about the opera you posted. There were children in it and the writer was disturbed at their loveliness and loss of childhood and lives on stage.

Interesting that it was written in Aug of 1860.

Especially following his comments about Rothschild it makes one wonder. "Horrid, murderous sacrifice of childhood? Child-slaughtering system? The sin rests on...Society?" Every line in his description suggests something terrible is being done to children, "some mere toddlers," apart from show biz.
