Guarantee you nobody in the Big 12 was upset when Mizzery left. They’d been writing their phone number on the bathroom walls at all the Big 10 schools for years before they left the B12, and were really upset when Nebraska got in instead of them.
Nicest thing about them is they’re easy to ignore. When they were in the B12, they were usually referred to as “The game before Texas” or the game after Oklahoma State.” They might as well have bar codes on their helmets.

Amen! They walked away from a 100+ year rivalry with The University of Kansas to do so. It had been the longest continuous (football) rivalry west of the Mississippi River until they ended it.

Then those bastards come into the SEC East and win it. Of course they got crushed in the SECCG, and it probably said more about how bad the SEC East was then, (that was during the Muschump Era)

Yeah, conference realignment has killed a bunch of traditional rivalries. The Border War was one of the games that everybody noticed, even in years when neither team was winning big.
