I think I heard there's no such written policy at DOJ. I even think Barr said it in an interview. Or maybe I was dreaming. I'm feeling too lazy to look it up right now.

I was able to find this article that seems to suggest there is a 60 day rule within the DOJ. Whether it’s a written policy or more a rule of thumb, I don’t know.
Man, I'm always cleaning up after you! You are right...the rule about no indictments is only if the case is to circumvent a political figure. To stymie them. To put a hitch in their git-a-long. To be the monkey wrench in their operation. In other Trumpish words, to totally f*ck with them!
Recently I read a pdf document about this. I will try to find. It is not, iirc, a specific written carved-in-stone policy, more like a “habit”, to use a non-legal term. I will see what I can find. Emberfl has a hard name to remember.
