"Don't lose sight of the fact that the wealthy, businesses and tax payers are starting to leave these jurisdictions; obvious possibility. With growing loss of revenues these stupid politicos are beginning to realize they are not the socialist light on a hill. They turned to Nancy Pelosi to grab $4 trillion in Federal money to ease their burden, but POTUS threw a monkey wrench in the gears. This on top of POTUS putting an end to claiming punitive state taxes as a deduction on the annual federal income tax return. There are natural corrections to these abuses that do not require active intervention. California has been recorded as the sixth largest economy in the world; it is predicted that they are on course to become a third world banana republic. New York is begging billionaires to return to the Empire State. Patience is a virtue in trying times. :)"
Thanx for that explanation. It helps a lot.

To my mind, economics are not the leading issue; as I say, there are natural corrections that can help equalize the injustice. What concerns me more is the loss of constitutional rights - and the local citizens going along with that.
Such inversions can influence the freedoms of the rest of us. How do we insure that all states, counties and cities follow the Constitution? The west coast is on the verge of seceding. Should we send in troops to restore Constitutional rule? should we do the same as Abraham Lincoln and risk war with these radical states?
I do not necessarily mind if the west coast states secede - except we cannot afford to lose access to the whole Pacific coast. I wonder how this dilemma can be resolved.
