Your advice could literally KILL someone! It is BEYOND irresponsible to provide this level of misinformation.
Daughter returned from a LAX tourney. Likely a very healthy young adult. Very low risk. And the “professional” recommendations for young adults was to keep them hydrated at home possibly with a script for fever reduction.
SisterK’s post wasn’t reckless. But to your point, better safe than sorry — at least make the tele-doc call.
The overlooked issue, however, concerns the nearby elders.
