All those points are cogent, but local effects have to be considered also in this case. Hawaii means high humidity, which is supposed to tamp down transmission. But high humidity, heat and masks don’t sound like a good combination at all. Sounds like more chances to trap the virus or other bad things in one’s mask.
I guess I should be following the Netherlands since the govt there has told the populace they don’t see benefits but do see possible increased transmission due to improper use.
I think the virus losing punch now and I’m hoping that continues. About a dozen states are hot right now, all are states that weren’t hot when others were. Some others are just stubborn about dropping but not really expanding either. Others are obviously dropping nicely in cases, notably some in the NE where cases took off early.
I agree with the people who compare numbers on the same days of the week. Compare Mondays to Mondays, etc.
