Strange, I don’t believe I have ever heard of testing for influenza, or other contagious Covid outbreaks in the past.

The only time I recall testing in ICU was when someone was admitted and you were trying to rule things out. Narrow down the diagnosis.
If you went to a physician they would base the diagnosis on symptoms not on a flu swab.

Because previously they didn’t incentivize having the flu or other coronavirii.
Now they pay hospitals more if the person has the wuhanvirus, at a time when hospitals are in financial binds due to people not having elective procedures done.
