Just thinking about this at a high level, I would think that the democrats choosing leftists to run against republicans would be good for republicans. That is, I think Walk Away would increase and the party would do worse in general elections.

If it does better, well we’ve come full cycle and it may be time for the tree of liberty to be watered again.

I ‘spose it depends. If all it represents is a further lurch to the left by the enemies of freedom, it might make conservative values more attractive to those who aren’t radicals.

On the other hand, if this is a primary in a safe democratic district, then increased radicalism means more vocal idiocy in Washington.

If by “not good” you mean this bodes poorly for the general election then maybe you could help me understand that because I’m not sure how a conclusion about that could be drawn from this democrat primary.

Most likely I just don’t fully understand what you’re getting at here.
