Even at a ground burst, a nuke would send out a flash of light that would blind anyone who happened to be looking that way.
This one had a fire going-like you said, and then it touched off something.
I think you nailed it. Note the lack of a lasting "stem" to the 'shroom. (The black column is from an explosion that starts earlier, a little back of the "fast" blast.)
I've never actually seen a "pool" of leaked natural gas vapor blow -- maybe something like this?
It was a “Holy Shitake!” mushroom cloud.

Groundburst nukes don’t cause EMPs, and wouldn’t prevent a cell phone video from being taken. (Uploading it might be a problem, however.)

If it were a nuke the camera would never have recorded this firecracker explosion.

Hint: its from the creation of a bubble of hot gas by any method, not necessarily nuclear.

I don’t think it was an air drop. I was mostly talking about the huge vapor cloud. It Looked like a fire that lit off something really big. It was not a slow explosion, looked more like HE.
Several theories being bandied about right now.
Nitrate processing plant.
Grain elevator.
Tanker fueling/defueling.
Weapons/fireworks raw materials warehouse.
I’m leaning towards that last one judging from how the smaller initial fire appeared to have bright phosphorous/magnesium streaks. There was another Twitter video, from a now most likely deceased camera person, from right across the street showing stuff cooking off before the big blast.

I’ll bet that that was a terrorist ammo dump that just went up in smoke.
That appeared to be a low yield explosive since the smoke appeared to be black. A high yield would normally be white.
I’ll say this.That was one hell of a shock wave though.
I wonder how many people were killed when that place went up in smoke.
