Read an article on Jerry Rice when he was traded to Oakland. He supposedly would go out with the 2nd string QB before practice and run routes, and with the third stringer after practice. He said he did to because he might be catching passes from them, and they didn't get enough time in practice, cause 1st string always trained together.

Course, Lawrence Taylor used to snort coke before games, so everyone has their own preparation routine.

One other note on the NFL. After Ray Lewis was involved in an altercation that ended up with one man being dead, he was put on the cover of Madden. If people didn’t figure out the nature of the NFL then, not sure what will wake them up.

I had a strong suspicion that it was backwards but I was nearly as tired as I am tonight and, as you say, point made... besides, I do a great imitation of a doddering old codger; I am a natural! 😉
