Yes I have noticed too, even before the virus, that “business casual” has become the “dress code” more and more in the business world, and formal business suits are seen less and less.

I used to travel the country as a partner to a salesman. I was a “sales engineer”. I was a salesman as well as the “technical guy” for sales calls to large corporations. My motto was, the farther east I was going, the more ties and white shirts I needed to pack. :)

My office was in Seattle. Wearing a suit and tie to appointments there looked stupid.
