“The three-page document focuses on five target areas”

athree page “plan” to “revitalize” downtown Portland should be more than enough to do the trick (and there’s a bridge in Brooklyn that i’ve got for sale for cheap)

And if they do this exceptionally abusive and inefficient project, what will stop it from simply being burned down again?

That is a really good idea.

No - Q is the reincarnation of The Veritable Quandary that was shut down because the state grabbed their land to build an office building. VQ was very popular so a customer set the chef up in business at Q. 3rd and Taylor I think.

Too good to be true!

Portland stumbled on Jun 14 when they toppled the statue of Thomas Jefferson. And again on Jun 19 when they toppled the statue of George Washington. The looting of downtown, the defacing the pioneer monument, attacking a federal court on July 4, the burning out the elk and the sheer aggression and lack of respect for authority of anyone including police is but the post script of a failed sanctuary city. Its residents humiliated and cowed by the violent, the mentally ill and the grievance cult they themselves invited in. Now, the sight of daily competitions, lasting 6 hours or more, of anguished and tearful public virtue signaling and ‘educational lectures’ more closely resembling circular rants, demanding race subservience, has destroyed the appeal of Portland. They should rename themselves Stockholm.

It takes a while to replace regular structures with 3’ concrete, 4” windows, and hydraulically operated 3” steel doors....

I wouldn’t set foot in Portland. A few months ago, a friend in suburban Minneapolis asked us to visit him, we said no. We had a few riots in our downtown, I don’t go there anymore either. It’s not that I’m afraid, I just don’t want to go somewhere where I’d be triggered by losers.

Since when did mayor Wheeler care about those evil businesses. Who would want to go down there to shop?

My downtown was a civil war buffs heaven. No more. I won’t put another nickel into Richmond city.

I’ve been to Portland a few times.
Loaded with homeless and drug rehab joints.
Disgusting is too kind a description.

What is it about the liberal mind, in that they are consumed with a want to destroy things, tear down all heroes, write grafitti etc., and want to live in a world of constant nihilism?

You could get into a detailed discussion of how they got there but ultimately it comes down being deceived by Satan and having turned from God.

Portland is the most atheist city in the US.

This was in 2010. I don’t remember Q. Our best one was Le Pigeon. Chef Gabriel Rucker. We had a connection there but that isn’t why I say it was the best. I went back to see the chef in 2016 but ate at the Heathman and it was great. I hope they didn’t ruin that 1927 wonder.

There was a place where you eat at a counter and order little plates like at a tapas bar, and there was a grocery store attached. There were two guys behind the counter and we had to sneak a look at the magazine to see which one was the chef. We discussed the food with him, and that was so nice. Superior. I think on one of the main streets, not sure.

Then on the last day when I had to leave, my daughter said leave your suitcase at the desk and we’re going to Tasty and Sons, which is now Tasty and Daughters. Lovely, and I was so glad she was into it up to the end.
