That line of B.S. came up in 75 when I was back in college and taking biochemistry. Our professor had us assay eggs for cholesterol content and pool the results. We then calculated the range of cholesterol from one egg ingested by an average human. It came out to 0.001 mg. In the discussion, the professor asked what we thought the big stir was about and his answer was that it could be made into a cash cow. That was at the same time as products like Egg-Beaters and other substitutes came out. It was also the same time as the nitrites in bacon causes cancer scare campaign. You’d have to eat 200 lbs of bacon a day to reach any problem levels. The bs goes on today, in this year of living stupid.
