This isn’t similar to those on the list, but I recall counting on being safe inside our homes. That’s pretty much gone now.
When I consider what Trump means by “Make America Great Again”, I go back to the time — maybe the ‘50s or ‘60s — when nobody locked the doors to their homes or cars. That was a good, innocent, time and it would be nice to feel that safe again.
I love the times ‘when nobody locked the doors’. We use to go on vacations for two weeks and leave the doors unlocked. The house wasn’t full of valuables other than a TV set or record player but we weren’t poor. Life was about much more than possessions. We would always stick up for the weak or the young ladies. There were lines never crossed.
