You feel like a prisoner now..wait until there's ice and snow on the ground. You'll be afraid to go out for fear of slipping and falling. Then when it does snow you'll have to go out and clean your walk way or steps or pay someone to do it every time. You will have to have a garage to protect your car from the weather or you'll be out scrapping the windshields every time you need to go somewhere.
And if you're in a store for any period of time and there's freezing rain or snow...you'll again will have to scrape your car before taking off...rear window and all. Then you'll have to remember to leave your wind shield wipers in the up position so they don't freeze while down. You will also need to have a blanket in your car in case of a break down and always have a coat with you in the winter months.....this is only a few things to remember. Oh, did I mention ..make sure your car isn't idling too fast or you will be ALL over the road.

Thank you for reminding me why I left IL for school in CA.

I’ve thought of all that. I don’t plan on moving there for the reasons you just mentioned. I wonder myself if the kids will like it. There’s a big difference in going to the snow to ski for a few days or having a light snow every once in while that melt off before you can make a snow man.

Oh NIKK, don’t paint such a one sided and rosy picture. Fill her in on some of the bad points of living in the Northern states.. LOL
