Monroe police arrested a Monroe woman on several charges including four counts of aggravated assault on a police officer on Saturday after authorities stopped the suspect's automobile for a traffic violation.
The officer making contact with Trakeka Vontrese Charleston, 36, of 117 Malikowski Road, Monroe, reported having to brake the patrol unit suddenly to avoid striking Charleston's automobile.
Police observed an open container in Charleston's automobile. Charleston said it was a daiquiri. Charleston also said she did not have a driver's license, insurance or registration paperwork.
Charleston became angry when police informed her that her automobile would be towed because she had no auto insurance.
Trakeka then exited the vehicle and coughed in officers' direction (and) stated she (had) the COVID-19 virus, stated the July 25 arrest report. Officers then gave Trakeka verbal consent to get her things out of her vehicle and armed herself with a reddish-orange hammer. Trakeka then approached multiple officers in an aggressive manner with the hammer in her right hand stating, 'Y'all stole my f***ing bank card, y'all gone give my s*** back.'
Officers apprehended Charleston and booked her at Ouachita Correctional Center on no driver's license, no headlights, obstruction of public passage, possession of alcoholic beverages in a motor vehicle, no auto insurance, no registration, and four counts of aggravated assault on a peace officer.

In this case, I need an operational definition of hammer....the perp or the tool?

Ooh, there’s an old-school term I haven’t heard in a long time, “hammer” = “ugly”. Good one.
No kidding. That’s an insane dude.
Makes you wonder what color the fake fingernails are. And the toe nails.
No surprise after living near there for 10 years...
2010 census put population at 63.9% black, 48,815 total, down from 53,000+ in 2000.
From the wiki page

Being southern, cotton country, there is quite a bit of racial animosity in the general area. Town I lived in was 74% black 25 miles from Monroe. Many of them openy hostile toward whites. 3 or 4 tried to start fights with me for little or no reason.
The younger generation, now leaving high school, will walk in the middle of the street, line of cars crawling along behind them and refuse to move. Honk your horn, they will simply flip you the finger and keep strolling along. This is what 3 high school girls, maybe age 14, did to me one day when I forgot school just let out...less than a block from the high school. I saw this happen at least a dozen times. Honk or say anything, they want to fight. When the 3 finally did move, they laughed, made faces and flipped us all the finger as we drove by.
Cops have a really tough job there. One very large black neighborhood (my town, not Monroe) they get calls of shootings or stabbings literally every night. Nobody saw a thing...cop who files the paperwork told me about that. Guy with blood all over his pants saw nothing...
Cops are not allowed to go there alone, 2 to a car, preferably 2 cars, bullet proof vest required. I’d be willing to bet Monroe has a similar area.
Not a safe place to live, especially now, glad I got out in 2012...
“Ooh, theres an old-school term...”
I’m old enough to have gone to the old school. The miracle is I still can remember some of the lessons.

I had a similar experience in Natchitoches. I pulled into a gas station and there were 6 obama yutes at the entrance. Protecting their turf I guess. Moved on.
Extra points for knowing how to spell it...you should see people try to pronounce it first time They ever see that name...Nach-a huh? Similar to Nacogdoches, Tx just up the road.
I was 23 miles from Natchitoches yesterday on a yard sale run. According to the signs.
Once was a cool town, marched in their christmas parade for 4 years. Best lights ever.
Not sure what it’s like now, haven’t been there in many moons. 1st time I ever saw brick streets.
When I was travelling through there, I would stop in at Mama’s Oyster House on Front St.
