Good interpretationt by Praying Medic I think - I can always use some help understanding what Q means. Like the “Russia is the enemy, China is our friend” makes sense if you hear it as the false message the media has been pushing, but I didn’t get that on my own.

Your question is a good one and I think one that underlies what is perhaps Trumps biggest weakness - being a DC outsider. We appreciate much of what comes with that but especially after the deep state turned all it’s assets against him - who could he trust? Family members, for sure. But they were all outsiders too and we know some of them, shall we say, hold “see things differently”. He trusted Sessions, Mattis, and others who let him down, I think he gave Reince Priebus the job out of loyalty (which we know Trump values highly) but he was over his head, so someone like McMaster probably came higly recommended by everyone and Trump needed someone who could hit the ground running. Unfortunately we now see he was running toward the other team’s goalposts.

Trumps most recent nominations seem to be much closer to his point of view, maybe that says he’s now going with his own gut feel rather than on what others recommend. I was most disappointed with Bolton, who I knew was a hawk but felt he would re-align himself and contribute to Trump’s success in the sense of Lincoln’s “team of rivals”. If Trump made a bad call, I did too.

I don’t think Trump likes “yes men” but I don’t think we’ll see any more experiments with rivals either. We all learn, and I think he’s learned that if his people don’t see the world his way, it leads to nothing but trouble.
