No, following science is not meaningless, as you say. Science has given us our wonderful modern conveniences and health. If everyone thought the same as you, we’d all still be living in caves.

Hey, don’t knock it till you’ve tried it - but only eat the right bats. (and don’t mind my echo)

Seriously, though, speaking of following things, I’m not sure you were following my meaning. I clearly used quotes on ‘the’.

Science itself is NOT meaningless. It has many, often contradictory, meanings and leanings. That’s why simply stating that you follow ‘THE science’ is meaningless - until you explain what your interpretation of a particular science means, which differing scientist opinions you choose to believe and value, etc.

Why not just go ahead and say it is ‘settled’ science, like the global warming which killed everybody already a couple times before it created the latest cold virus to kill us all again.
