Looking at the picture, my first reaction is why do we allow such positioning (government officials up high, witness giving testimony below is if to simulate some position of inferiority)?

Are our governmental officials not our servants, or are they our betters?

I’ve been puzzled about why Melania took that photo in front of the Sphinx. I came across a bit of information online that may explain it:

The Sphinx has the body of a lion, a predator who fed on man and vied with man for the top of the food chain; and the head of a Pharoah, who is an ancient ruler of men. Hence, the Sphinx is a symbol of aristocratic cannibalism.
