The TEA was veering socialist 45 years ago when I got my teaching certificate. I refused to join and never taught. Plus, the “educational theories” at the time were really stupid. Who thought teaching 4th graders in an open concept (no walls!) environment was a good thing? I guess it’s great if you don’t want the students to learn and you want to drive them crazy at the same time. 😡
