I mentioned Free Republic at thedonald.win once, and the response was not enthusiastic. There's a general perception of FR as being a bunch of curmudgeons who clutch their pearls at the site of a dirty word and tell everyone to stay off their lawns. Don't know if they'd have that opinion of the average person posting on Q threads.
The win sites have all been started by mods of reddit forums who got tired of the heavy handedness of reddit. thedonald probably skews thirty to thirty five years younger than the average FR poster, and consume product, I'd guess, at least forty years younger.
Anyway, I have accounts on several sites, cause sites get nuked, sometimes, and other sites end up becoming empty rooms.
It’s not like they’re wrong in that assessment, although that’s just a partial list ;-) (this thread being the exception). It’s why I have to avoid the live thread on Barr’s testimony just as I do when the democraps on the committee speak. Mute or Ignore always works.
The best idea I think is to bookmark all these sites so you can keep track of them, it’s not essential to post. As Yogi Berra famously said “You can observe a lot just by watching”.
They arent wrong in their assessment of this place, particularly as of late.
Sad really, some people are stuck in the past and I believe the notion that those who succeed in life (in whichever way that means to someone) are those who adapt to change. An entire study was done on this and it bears out.
Stuck on the past wont allow them to move forward, imho
They aren't wrong. They think FR is a bunch of Boomers and they're right for the most part. Let them have their field and we'll have ours and some of us will cross pollinate.
I often find gems at thedonald and post them here.
We wouldn’t have to tell them it’s a Free Republic refugee site. Just that it’s a site to discuss Q. Some other people have suggested it, too. The alternative would be to tell them we are from FR, and ask to have our own mod, and, if they let us, it would be awesome, but that would be less likely.
