I like that he comes right out and tells them he had no prior relationship with President Trump, that he was 70 years old and “slipping happily into retirement as I enjoyed my grandchildren”, but it was knowing that he had complete freedom to do what is right and his concern that one standard of justice applies to all that motivated him to again serve as Attorney General.
This is precisely the kind of public servant we need, one who serves out of compassion for the job and for the nation, not someone looking to get their political ticket punched.
Nothing angers me more on FR than to see the stupid baseless attacks against Bill Barr. Some idiots on here don’t know what a true public servant looks like when they see one.
