The instructor really liked the website www.handgunlaw.us and thought they had the better, up to date on changes to law but unfortunately, they don’t have an app.
He said the Firearms Owners Protection Act (FOPA) is supposed to protect people transporting through unfriendly areas but law enforcement have confiscated guns which were transported correctly (unloaded, locked in cases/trunk) but you’re in a position to prove your guns innocence.
Theyre but one CCW insurance carrier. There are others out there.
You’re welcome. I hope it works for you.
Oh, and welcome to the carry club. Enjoy your future dresser drawer filled with holsters and belts.
;-)
Read my mind :-) Thanks again.
Thank you for the link.

Yes. they do.
They have an app for that. ;(
Most states have a magical thing called a “database” that stores this information. Most police departments nowadays have the means to poll this data from the road to find out if you have a permit.
Its not as if theyd use the app to track your location or anything.
That plus your new CV tag/vaccination and case worker, they will know where you and the above are, 24/7.
Their masks will be tied in with the above. So they will know if you are wearing your masks 24/7!
What type of holster are you using? Was looking at the belly band ones where you can wear a gun & two magazines. Only negative is it looks like they recommend you wear a t-shirt so the holder doesn’t chafe. I have a Springfield XD-40 but thinking about getting a .38 hammerless revolver that I can keep in my pocket.
I use a Black Rhino Concealment IWB holster.
And from my own personal experience, wearing a T-shirt makes carrying much more comfortable. Even the hybrid holsters (leather and kydex) will rub you raw over time.
No experience with the belly band holster setups. Some of the people that do the firearms podcasts that I listen to have said that they like them, while others have said that theyre not very secure while running. They sometimes bounce in the rig.
Dont forget the gun belt. Vital purchase for carrying.
