While he had his flaws (as we all do), he was much more astute than I realized for most of my life. He remained registered as a Democrat, but voted Republican from about 1968 on. His decades-old predictions about pro/college sports, public education and Islam remain eerily accurate.
Everything about sports is foreign to me. The players don’t look like me. Those that look like me are second class citizens. These foreigners play this game and take all the spots so my people can’t play. Then they demand obeisance from me and spit on my flag. I’d like to see them all get true justice, good and hard.
